WHAT DO I DO IF I GET LAID OFF?
Contact the Hall to get on our out-of-work list. Then file for your Unemployment. Call every week to stay on the list. If you are not working everyday and are collecting unemployment for the other days, you need to be on the out-of-work-list.

WHO DO I TALK TO REGARDING MY PENSION AND MEDICAL BENEFITS?
If you have questions regarding your pension or medical benefits or eligibility, contact Zenith American Solutions at 206-282-4100.

HOW DO I GET SIGNED UP WITH LABORERS LOCAL UNION 242?

WHAT DO I DO IF I GET HURT ON THE JOB?
Report the incident to your superintendent, fill out an accident report at the jobsite, if medical attention is needed be sure to tell your doctor that the accident happened on the job site.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I LOSE MY SKILLS CARDS?
If you lose your asbestos card, you must call the State of Washington, Department of Labor & Industries at 360-902-5800. If you have lost your Laborers membership card, contact the Hall at 206-441-0470. If you lose your flagging, forklift, etc. cards, you will need to contact the Training School at 360-297-3035.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM ON THE JOB?

WHO DO I CALL IF I WANT TO TAKE A CLASS?
If you are an apprentice you need to contact the Apprenticeship School at Kingston at 800-554-4457. If you are a journeyman, sign up at the Hall.

WHEN ARE THE UNION MEETINGS?
The union meetings are every month, January through November. They are always the second Thursday of the month, at 7:00 PM, in the main auditorium of Laborers Local Union 242, located at 22323 Pacific Hwy S., Des Moines, WA. 98198. There is no meeting in December.
